TOTE WIN £5.20 PL £2.10, £6.20, £2.80; Ex £107.10; CSF £122.62 ANALYSIS: Plenty of pace on here and nothing much got into it from behind as MYSTERY PIPS, whose best performances have all come when able to dominate, kept her rivals at bay. Back to form when a close fourth over course and distance last time without the usual headgear, she stepped up on that here. Percy Douglas is winless since 2002, but shaped creditably in second, just as he had done when behind Mystery Pips here last time. He seemed to respond positively to the combination of tongue-tie and first-time-blinkers, but was ultimately well held by the winner. Eternally and Misty Princess both stayed on slowly but surely, but could never land a blow. They may do better over an extra furlong. |
