 Not a great contest but at least a few went into the race with form, while unlike Maureen Ann, who came with a devastating late charge to cut down Goodwood Prince.
Her previous efforts had been distinctly uninspiring and she was also racing from 2lb out of the Handicap, both factors hardly inspiring confidence. It would be unwise to assume she is capable of doing this on a regular basis but she is a lightly raced filly and may now only be grasping what is required.
