 Just an ordinary handicap and with five lengths or so covering the first eight home the form is unlikely to be anything special.
That said, Pepper Road, who had been in fair form but was a pound out of the handicap and carried a pound overweight, would have won more decisively had he not veered right in the last furlong. This was only his second win in 24 attempts.
