The ground went against TAKE A BOW, but his ability, aided by plenty of courage saw him through as he won all out. He is considered to be an out-and-out top of the ground horse, and while he may well stay further than a mile, a Group 3 race over that trip in Germany in a fortnight's time is a possibility. Lateen Sails, making his seasonal bow, came to win his race, but was just run out of it. The ground will have suited him, and opportunities will be found if not at the highest level. Mukafeh, also appearing for the first time this season, had every chance and run out of it in the final furlong, he may just have needed it. Pearl Of Love was ridden along three out and on ground which would not have really suited him, he finished closer than it looked he might when he was ridden along three out and got a bit outpaced. Cape Fear was never able to get competitive, but faster ground and seven furlongs suit him better. |
