ANALYSIS: Not a bad race for the time of year and FLOTTA managed to reverse recent course and distance form with Almizan in no uncertain manner. The winner was found to have a fluttering heart when well beaten on that occasion but had gone well when treated for a calcium deficiency on the Flat at Newbury two weeks ago. He received the same treatment before this contest and it made all the difference. He also profited from a very tactically astute ride as he was taken wide where the ground was a shade faster. He looks a fair recruit and, as long as his old woes do not resurface, can win again.

Almizan never looked like confirming the form and he needs it faster.

Cansalrun needs stepping up in trip, although there is a suspicion that after all her placed efforts she may be difficult to win with.

Kristoffersen is finding things very difficult under his double penalty.

Lyes Green was sneaking into contention when making a howler down the far side and may have been placed but for that on his first outing for his new trainer.
