TYZACK had been out of action for a year, but he was fit enough to get off the mark on his first start for the Stef Liddiard stable. He appeared to score with a bit up his sleeve, despite the narrow margin, and he has been declared to run under a penalty here today. The drop back to six furlongs should not prove a problem. Pepper Road is an inconsistent sort and not easy to catch right, but he has dropped to a fair mark and is obviously capable of landing a similar event if in the right mood. Gallas, tried in blinkers, finished well after racing a little apart from the main body of the field near the stands' rail. He seems to like it here but is probably best at a mile. Show Me The Lolly ran a sound race back on turf and remains in good heart. Miss Porcia ran her best race for a while and the return to seven furlongs appeared to suit . Trevian, still well handicapped on his old form despite the 5lb rise for his Chepstow success, really needs a mile to be seen to best effect. Old-stager Lord Chamberlain looked sure to be involved in the finish until fading going to the last. Further down the field, To Be Fare ran better than his finishing position suggests on his first outing for three years. . |
