ANALYSIS: A closely fought affair with AMANDA'S LAD just coming out on top in a blanket finish. Formerly a long-standing maiden, he gained his third success of the winter with a determined success, which was his second victory in little more than a week.

Byo went down fighting in second, while Mirasol Princess also ran a sound race, considering she is arguably better over six furlongs.

Boanerges looked to be coming to win his race inside the last, but came up marginally short late on; he is in good heart at present.

Muktasb finished right on the heels of the principals and, although a maiden, may be able to click in something similar one of these days.

Straffan, a winner over six furlongs here last time, found this drop back to the minimum trip counting against him, while On The Trail may have been inconvenienced by his low draw.
