ANALYSIS: Those racing down the centre of the track normally dominate over this five furlongs, and so it proved this time. BYO, the top-rated runner in the field with a mark of 50, and the form horse as well, having run second here last month - with Muktasb, Hiamovi and Lizzie Rocket behind - justified his favourite's position as he was driven clear in the last 150 yards to score decisively.

Eternally, who won a seller here the season before last but showed next to nothing last year and had dropped to amark of 35, showed plenty of speed on this first outing in four months and, if he can build on this, then he should be able to find a similar event.

Muktasb, a bit out of his depth last time, kept on for a fair third on this occasion but he is proving difficult to win with and his losing run now stretches to 18.

Percy Douglas is another on a long losing run, in his case going back to 2002, and though he ran well enough it is hard to see when that run will end.

Town House could not confirm the promise of a recent third in a Wolverhampton handicap, while Freshwinds was handicapped by racing away from the pace, on the stands side, and had run his race by the furlong mark
