Some fairly useful three-year-old sprinters in this line-up, though few of them had been at their very best on their most recent appearance and with neither of the market leaders producing his top form this may not have been as strong a handicap as mighthave been expected for the money. |

He was initially denied a clear run, but, once he found daylight, quickened up to take the spoils. He may now take his chance in a handicap at Newmarket next Saturday. Grazeon Gold Blend was always up there and kept on well. He was 6lb better off with the winner for a beating of just over 3L at Chester and may have just run below that form. However, Scooby Dude, who was travelling like a winner inside the last 2f, was also in that Chester shake-up and he was closely weighed with Green Park so it looks as if the winner has improved. Dark Missile was one-paced in the closing stages, and it may have been due to a combination of the ground and the trip that she has not shown her best. King Orchisios cocked his head over the rail looking into the next stall as the gates opened, and lost a length or two. He soon tracked the leaders, and then did not have the best of runs before being unable to make any further headway in the closing stages. He may still be a bit green - it was only his third run - and has to be given another chance. Sea Salt showed good speed, but was well beaten in the end. His win was on good to firm, and this heavy ground may not have been to his liking. Mulligan's Gold was 4lb out of the handicap and might prefer faster ground. |
