Pool: £338.01. - 0.34 winning tickets. Pool of £223.08 carried over to 17/06/06 Hand-timed. ANALYSIS: This followed the day's trait of a steady early pace and few showed with a chance as the first two were always in that position. STARDUSTER looked to be playing second fiddle to Clearing Sky, who raced widest midtrack in setting the pace but quickened up nicely inside the final furlong to win a shade cosily. She had failed to handle softer ground so far this season and back on fast ground looks ready to run up a small sequence as her mark has eased. Clearing Sky's rating has eased and she nearly took advantage, leaving the impression that the gambled money is only lent. Kempsey stayed stands' side from his high draw and after showing speed could not match the well handicapped pair. Canadian Danehill tracked the pace but lookedto chuck it in inside the last 2f but the winner's stablemate Whitbarrow, after a 108-day break, made a move before getting tired and can build on this comeback. |
