ANALYSIS: This was run at a strong pace, and THEFLYINGSCOTTIE struggled to handle the early speed. But though he still looks quite a hard ride, the fitting of a visor has evidently had the desired effect and he confirmed the promise of a recent Fakenham second with a hard-earned win. His victory was secured when Positano, just a length down and pressing strongly, blundered his chance away at the last.

Positano, a prolific winner on the Flat in Norway, has proved a flop to date over hurdles, hence this drop to selling company.

Mabel Riley, who finished behind Theflyingscottie at Fakenham last time, saw her momentum stopped when she clouted the second-last, ending any chance she had of getting in a blow.

Mistral de la Cour went off quickly in a first-time visor, taking Pipers Legend with him, and they paid for it in the home straight.

Think Quick found the strong pace over this 2m much too sharp for her and she was never going.
