ANALYSIS: A weak affair that did not take a lot of winning.

LADY HOPEFUL lost her race at the start here on Monday when her rider was too slow to remove the blindfold as the stalls opened, but he got it spot on this time and the filly was therefore close enough at halfway to deliver a challenge which proved strong enough for her to add to her two banded-race successes last backend.

Leah’s Pride, who had not lasted home when fifth on the fibresand at Southwell on Tuesday, lasted the pace better on this occasion but, as was the case here in November, found Lady Hopeful just too good for her on the run to the line.

Town House, taking advantage of her favoured low draw, cut out a decent pace on her first outing in five months but the game was upfor her a furlong out. She is entitled to come on for the run and could pick up a similar contest.

Sir Sandrovitch got going too late to be any sort of threat, while Blue Maeve was never a factor after being squeezed out at the start.
