TOTE WIN £16.90 PL £4.30, £5.80, £2.30; Ex £148.10; CSF £150.25; TRICAST £1269.02 There was no bid for the winner. My Notes Analysis Comments In Running Exposed sorts in this selling hurdle, in which FRANKINCENSE gained his first success for more than four years. This was only his second win in 37 starts. Sono stayed on well from two out, but just failed. This was his first run in a seller, and he ran well enough to suggest he can win one. Crackleando also stayed on after losing his place and was beaten just over two lengths in third, ahead of Emperor's Monarch and Bluecoat, these five finishing well clear of the rest after Verstone, who was in third but looking held, came down at the last. Alfano, who bit his tongue at the start, but was checked over by the vet and passed clear, was pulled up before the second-last having broken down. |

Moderate fare in this selling hurdle, confined to lady riders. In a race run at a sound clip, the field was reduced to three with winning chances turning for home, and it was MINSTER ABBI, who came out on top. Well handled, he was kept right up tohis work from the second-last over a trip which may be below her best. Frankincense, in the twilight of his career, ran a game race, making the running and rallying from the second-last, only to find the winner too strong. |
