There was no bid for the winner.

A poor seller but a welcome first success for PARISIAN PLAYBOY. He had run a reasonable race on his previous visit to the course last month and after coming through to lead two out, kept on to hold the threat of the runner-up. He was well suited by this faster ground and not surprisingly was retained without a bid.

Discomania was another with no career wins on the board, which sums up this race neatly enough, and he at least kept on quite well under pressure in the closing stages. He is only rated 73 but could find a very weak event of this nature.

Champagne Rossini made the running after the third but could only keep on at one pace when headed by the winner, but did at least run respectably in the first time blinkers.

Leighton Buzzard was behind and made a little progress on the final circuit but never really got in a blow and once again finished behind the winner.
