A typical run-of-the-mill but nevertheless competitive sprint handicap in which a high draw played its part. Laurel Dawn won in decisive fashion and able to step up a gear off a fast pace, will win more races. He needs good or fast ground to show his best and will reappear at Hamilton on Friday if conditions are right. Trainer Alan Berry said "Having him gelded has made all the difference, he his bigger and stronger now." |
