More rain, more stragglers among juveniles who must have wondered what had hit them, especially as the jockeys again jumped them running despite the ground conditions. This time just three in the mixer at the business end of the race, another six fighting home, with the rest sensibly eased down before the final furlong as they floundered on the ground coming home at astronomical distances for a 6f race.
Paris Bell forged further clear the further they went, befitting a colt who has plenty of stamina through his pedigree. As such, he can be expected to progress further next year and it is hardly likely the handicapper will take much notice of the form of this card.
