Mecca's Mate used her stamina to great effect on this drop back to the minimum trip and produced a tenacious display to get off the mark at the fifth time of asking. She had shown some definite promise on her handicap debut at Newmarket last time, this looks to be her ideal trip and she can be rated slightly better than the Bare minimum form as she had to come down the centre of the track to win her race.
