A bit of a messy affair with the field bunching towards the far side in search of the fresher ground and a few hard luck stories among beaten horses.
My Paris contributed to the bunching as he edged left in the last quarter mile, and connections of Alfonso can count themselves a shade unlucky, as their horse did not have much room on the far rials through the final furlong. But My Paris was completing a hat-trick and is clearly on the upgrade. His trainer Kevin Ran said the horse was not appreciating the dead ground and ideally wants it quicker.
