Pool: £1,729.30. 9.00 winning tickets. ANALYSIS: Not much strength in depth to this contest and the first four pulled well clear. WODHILL BE was still a maiden at the age of five but she had shown the ability to figure in this grade previously and accomplished her task in good style. She settledbetter and moved through smoothly to lead over a furlong out for a tidy success. The second and fourth both had solid form to their credit so this was probably a fair effort and she should continue to give a good account in this company. Caerphilly Gal had won on turf on her previous start and she showed her effectiveness on Fibresand here. She led until over a furlong out for a creditable second place despite a wide draw. Lizzie Rocket showed about her best form to date, keeping on for third place ahead of Jacks Delight, who was probably taking on slightly better opposition than when narrowly beaten at Wolverhampton five days earlier and was not disgraced. The remainder were well held, though the lightly raced Ginger Cookie was not entirely disgraced, weakening only a furlong out. |
