ANALYSIS: Little solid recent form on offer in this first division of the 5f handicap and as always here it was not easy to come from off the pace.
BYO had been running respectably on Polytrack but handled the fibresand well on his first run on the surface, making most and winning tidily. He is well handicapped on some of his old form and should remain competitive even after reassessment.
Gone'n'dunnett is another who has slipped to a decent mark and he ran one of his better races, always chasing thepace and proving his effectiveness at 5f, but he is less than consistent and would not be guaranteed to reproduce this effort.
Sir Sandrovitch did better than on his last run here in a claimer, keeping on well from off the pace, but is likely to be seen to better advantage back on a track which is more favourable for a sprinter who is held up.
Similarly, this is probably not the ideal venue for keeping-on Imco Sasihill, who had shown promise at Wolverhampton last week and may benefit from returning there.
The first four came clear of Awake, who remains below his best form, and Blueberry Rhyme, who was well backed for this reappearance but could not lead and ran no more than respectably.
Imtalkinggibberish is another who is probably better off at Wolverhampton.
