TOTE WIN £2.90 PL £1.10, £2.10, £1.90; Ex £6.80; CSF £8.03; TRICAST £24.30 ANALYSIS: This was a competitive-looking handicap but it proved quite easy in the end for SISTER SOX, who was raised 8lb for her Navan win but raced under a 5lb penalty. She seems sure to go up a few pounds more. Trainer Michael Halford said: "She is improving and getting her head in front is doing her confidence good. She will have a short break before being freshened up for another run." Fontanally Springs raced prominently and led over a furlong out. She has never won over this trip but on this showing there is no reason why she shouldn't. Belleinga is a dual course-and-distance winner on heavy going. She may not be quite as good on this sort of surface but she still ran a fine race. Libras Child ran much better than he had done on his return behind Baggio at The Curragh and the drier ground was probably a factor. Step Back showed good early speed before weakening inside the final furlong. It was his first run since last October and this should bring him on. |
