A hold up horse, she needed things to fall her way and they did as the gap appeared between Red Sovereignand Mis Chicaf approaching the furlong mark and she was driven through it for a narrow win. There is surely more to come from her. Bonne de Fleur, badly drawn at Beverley last time, was racing from the best berth on this occasion but did not take full advantage of it and had to be switched round several rivals to deliver a challenge which proved not quite good enough. It was still a fine effort off top-weight, but she is not proving easy to win with these days and will get no relief from the handicapper after this run. Frascati, held by Neverletme Go on running at Doncaster last month, turned in a solid effort but she is fully exposed these days and is unlikely to improve any, unlike the winner. |
