He had dropped to a winnable mark and made the most of it as he dug deep in the last half a furlong to repel every challenge. He is obviously not getting any better at his age but still retains plenty of ability in this sort of company as he showed here. Cerulean Rose once again ran her usual game race but she is up against it now as far as her handicap mark is concerned. Najeebon gave notice he could be about to hit winning form again as he ran well enough. He is probably best at six furlongs. Cape St Vincent was bidding to follow up his recent course and distance victory but had to come all round the outside which did not help his cause. Currency has fallen to a mark which should see him strike form in the near future as he usually runs well at this time of year. |
