ANALYSIS: This looked an open event beforehand and SIERRA VISTA proved ideally suited by the return to five furlongs as she notched her fifth success of the season.

The Atraf mare had run well off the same mark over six furlongs on her last visit to the course and, although drawn on the outside, John Egan used her early pace to good effect as he soon had his mount leading on the stands' side rails. She kept on strongly in the final furlong and has almost certainly earned her winter break now. She is a tough mare and looks certain to win her share of races next year.

Stablemate Mecca's Mate ran a blinder as she was slowly into her stride and then didn't handle the dip that well as she hung both ways. She kept on really well at the finish and could goone better if she goes to the well again before the end of the season.

Corridor Creeper was racing off a 12 higher mark than when successful in this race 12 months ago and was quickly into his stride and racing toward the stands' side. He ran his usual honest race, but has had a long season and looks due a break.

If Paradise had run well in a listed event here last month and was soon prominent towards the centre on ground that would have been in his favour. He ran well enough, but the handicapper appears to know where he stands with him.

Orientor was soon being pushed along, but kept on towards the centre of the course to have claims over a furlong out. However, he soon flattened out and is not running to his best.(TE)
