TOTE WIN £32.30 PL £11.70, £3.00, £3.10, £4.80; Ex £292.20; CSF £189.04; TRICAST £1282.24 ANALYSIS: A wide-open sprint with victory going to DAFAROUN, who finished like a train to follow up his recent Laytown win on the sand. The field eventually split into two groups for a time with the runners tacking over to the near side enjoying a clear advantage at the business end. Libras Child was another drawn high and plugged on well in the closing stages, along with Millers Weir, who got his head in front briefly well inside the final furlong. Miss Isabela had shown plenty of speed on a better surface but was inconvenienced by this ease in the ground well into the final furlong after racing prominently, along with Paris Sue, who was another to show good early speed until finding the going tough close home. La Motta had found one too good on a number of occasions before this season and was another to disappoint after showing good early speed. Belle Child, who had Adriatic behind when scoring last time had him just behind here. Adriatic had finished like a train to fill the runner-up berth last time over 6f at The Curragh and he looked in need of further. Tubbertown Rose had a bit to find with a few of these on her course-and-distance debut effort last month when finishing just out of the money. She had the benefit of three subsequent outings coming here but never played any part, along with course-and-distance winner Maigue Violet, who had acted on easier ground before. |
