ANALYSIS: Successful over this trip at Navan in October BAGGIO justified favouritism here to record his fourth career win. He looked in need of marginally further on more than one occasion since last year's victory over the minimum trip, but travelling sweetly throughout from his favourable low draw, he quickly established a couple of lengths advantage approaching the furlong and kept on under pressure close home. His trainer admitted afterwards that he runs well when fresh and had shown encouraging signs at home. He could reappear again at Listowel on Thursday.

Lone Plainsman was 7lb higher following his Tralee win over this trip last month, and also drawn near the stands' rail, showed up well off his revised rating.

Libras Child ran best of those drawn towards the far side, underlining her encouraging effort at Tipperary last Thursday.

Four-time winner Sister Sox, one of the season's most progressive handicappers, broke smartly from stall three but had no answer when the winner asserted and the handicapper may well have got to grips with her now.

Serov has two ways of running and, with all five wins recorded over the course and distance, was expected to put up a good show, but he failed to build on last month's Tralee second.

The draw played a big part in the outcome here and Kid Creole, a three-time course winner, never threatened from his wide draw over a trip that looked on the short side for him.

Point Calimere, who beat Serov by one length last time, was another to struggle along with Beleinga, who was probably inconvenienced by this better surface
