ANALYSIS: PARIS BELL, who spoiled her chance with a slow start at Haydock last time out, made amends here with a thrilling success from the widest draw of all. Switched after the start to race behind the main body of the field on the stands' side, she faced a wall of horses entering the final furlong, but her jockey managed to find a way through and put her in front in the dying strides. The ground here was in her favour, and, although not entirely straightforward, she has plenty of ability.

Bold Haze, another who relishes cut in the ground, and who won over this course-and-distance last month, ran well in defeat, as did Tiviski, who was 4lb out of the handicap.

Sentiero Rosso, with the blinkers reapplied, travelled strongly, but did not get home as well as the principals.

Bird Over might now be in the grip of the handicapper.

Grigorovitch proved very disappointing and was well beaten.
