TOTE WIN £2.30 PL £1.10, £1.30, £7.70; Ex £3.50; CSF £3.93 ANALYSIS: They finished well strung out in what appeared to be a pretty uncompetitive sprint maiden, with the two market leaders dominating the closing stages. IMPROVISE, who had run well on his last two starts last season, stretched clear in good style in the straight to win going away. The form may not amount to much, and unless she improves to be competitive in Listed events, she may not find life easy from now on as the handicapper is unlikely to take a chance with her. Dixieanna had every chance but didn't appear to get home on this first run over 6f, and a drop back in trip may be the key to her. Nevertheless, she was clear of the rest but, as they were headed by Pennautier, who is rated 54 after three AW runs, the form would appear to lack any strength in depth. Monkey Madge showed plenty of early speed and, this being her third run, she may be seen to better advantage in small 5f handicaps. Brave Bear was very keen after being hampered at the start and should come on for the run. Insider went right at the start and Gyflym went left, but both finished well beaten. |
