ANALYSIS: CONJECTURE, a winner on the all-weather and a 10,000gns buy out of the David Loder stable, put up good display to win on his first run for Robin Bastiman. He was taken down early and away from the fillies in case he boiled over, and gelding him is likely to be an option. This will not be the last time he will be placed to advantage.

Blades Boy could not go with them early on, and had to be switched wide to get a run. It did not help that he was out on his own in the middle and this was a goodeffort under the circumstances.

Alexander Capetown, having his first run for David Nicholls, ran with promise and will pay his way.

Diktatit, who was hampered at the start, appeared to be running away at halfway with nowhere to go, but whenshe found daylight she did not appear to be happy in a visor for the first time and did not make any great progress. There was, however, the impression that she will prove capable of better if the key is found to her.

Our Little Secret went right at the start. It looked as if she might take an interest inside the last two furlongs, but she made no further progress. Maybe she prefers easier ground.

Jerry's Girl could not go the pace, but made some headway late on. It was her first run of the term, and she should be better for it.
