He's a late maturing type and this soft ground brings out the best in him.Quantica loves this ground but his stamina was tested to the limit against a useful rival. Jerome was never far away and the first-time application of a tongue-tie brought about some improvement although it remains to be seen if he can build on this. Parisian Playboy had conditions and trip in his favour and this was a better effort from a horse on a winning mark. A stronger pace would suit even better. Jedeydd is not getting any younger but this was an improvement on recent efforts over a course and distance he has run well over before. Outrageous Flirt used up a fair bit of gas getting to the front from her wide draw and her exertions soon told after she was headed over two out. |
