TOTE WIN £16.50 PL £5.10, £2.30, £3.20; Ex £125.00; CSF £81.70 ANALYSIS: Blinkers for the first time helped SPANISH LAW, and he ran right to the line to win decisively. Cadogen Square set out to make all, and battled on well to cope with all but the winner. Maybe an easier 7f would suit. Robury finished closer to Cadogen Square than he had when they met a fortnight ago, and may have some scope for improvement as this was only his fifth run. Paris Heights, shouldering a 6lb penalty, needed plenty of driving, but stayed on. Breeder's Folly, who had shown a little in a handicap at Newcastle last time, was never able to get into contention, but she did enough to leave encouragement that she will improve for a step back up to a mile or even further. |

Sir Anthony was having his fifth run but he still looked green. He may not be a straightforward ride, ducking left when coming under pressure, but he has ability and finished strongly once straightened up. A mile will suit him. Il Colosseo had been unruly in the stalls, but he knew his job in the race, showing pace and travelling well. His rider was suspended for not riding him out for second place, but this was a promising debut. Paris Heights was well held, but he has shown ability and is now qualified for nurseries. Fenrir was a 100-1 chance when winning at Ayr last time, but this was a tougher test and it proved too much for him. |
